Yet, doctors must adapt to a changing and often confusing array of new technologies, new working environment, new colleagues, demanding consultants, new unfamiliar regulations, and demanding and shifting expectations from patients.

A medical graduate should have enough knowledge, skill and competence prior to starting medical practice. Clerkship and medical internship allows students to be exposed to a variety of patients with several health conditions. It will be difficult if the graduate slacked off during clerkship and internship days because limited patient exposure is loss of knowledge and experience.
