Following the recent news regarding itemised bills being compulsory for patients under the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS), Singapore's healthcare system is under scrutiny again. Comparisons between the healthcare system of Singapore and other Asian Tigers (Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea) and Japan, show that Singaporeans are paying a lot more for their healthcare.
