Also known as the human herpes virus, EBV is one of the most widespread viruses of humankind, but rarely thought of as a serious illness. However, new findings indicate that EBV is potentially a cause of concern for Chinese men to develop throat cancer.

The Epstein Barr Virus has been linked B-cell Lymphoma (lymphatic cancer), gastric carcinoma (stomach cancer) and nasopharyngeal carcinoma (nose and throat cancer). It is not new news that is can cause throat cancer but revealing that Southern Chinese men, in particular, are at risk makes it seem more alarming.
