"FINER" criteria

"FINER" defined the characteristic of a good research question. It should be Feasible (F), with adequate number of subjects, adequate technical expertise, afforatble in time and money, manageable in scope, fundable. The question should be Intersting (I), by getting the answer intrigues the investigators and the expert in the field. It should be Novel (N), to provide new finding, new knowlegde, to confrim or refute or extened previous finding, or may lead to innovations in concepts of health and disease, medical practice or methodologies for research. The question should be Ethical (E), whereby the ethical committee will approve. And lastly Relevant (R), which likely to have significant impacts on scientific knowledge, clincial practice, or health policy, and may influence directions of future research.
