Here are some recipes that you can try which helps improves the health of your eyes.

  • Blueberry, Peach & Flaxseed Smoothie

Blueberries and peaches are delicious sources of Vitamins C and E, antioxidants that help prevent the damage to our eyes that leads to AMD (Age-related Macular Degeneration). It also contains flaxseeds which is one of the very best sources of Omega 3 fatty acids. These fatty acids help regulate the fluid retention and flow in our bodies, preventing dry eye and normalizing eye pressure to reduce the risk of glaucoma.

  • Mango-Avocado Smoothie

Avocados are a good source of lutein, and mangoes are full of Vitamin A, an antioxidant that helps to protect your cornea. Between the mango and avocado, It is amazingly creamy. Include those chia seeds as well for some Omega 3 fatty acids!

  • Orange, Basil & Spinach Smoothie

Orange, basil, and spinach are ALL great resources to get lutein and zeaxanthin which are essential for the development and protection of our healthy eyesight. Spinach also provides us with zinc, which enables our bodies to utilize Vitamin A to protect the cornea and fight infections.

  • Banana, Cacao, Almond Milk Smoothie - Kid's Choice!!

Cacao in this recipe is a great source of zinc and a serving of almonds provides 25% of our daily Vitamin E. The bananas are full of beta-carotene which our bodies convert into Vitamin A for great eye health also!

 

Basically blend the ingredients, according to which recipe you would want to try, with ice and kapish!

Looks like I'm going to have a Banana, Cacao, Almond Milk Smoothie or a mango-avocado smoothie today! :D Although I personally do not like avocado very much, it is a very nutritious fruit with lutein as you mentioned and many other essential compounds to the body like vitamins and fatty acids. Mango, similar to many yellow fruits is a good source of vitamin A, vitamin B and vitamin C. So a combination of nutrients from these two fruits in a smoothie would be a healthy...
