Oh my, this is so bad. Why were they late, in the first place, the article never said. But maybe traffic. Anyway, I am not familiar with stretchers, do they have a strap? If so, why wasn't he strapped on? Anyway, I believe that all equipment in the ambulance be checked daily, before being allowed to deploy for an emergency rescue. That incident could have been prevented if they discovered the defect earlier on. Although, of course, you cannot really tell when "accidents" are going ...

I believe measures should be in place for ambulance personnel to be able to transfer the patient safely and quickly to the hospital. What's worse is that the patient could have lived if not for the accidents. I think the hospital in question has to be held liable for the incidents and for the death of t...

It is indeed shocking to know that patient who was suffering from a serious motor vehicle accident, and remained unconscious, was hurled twice from stretcher twice !!! And the patient did suffered from new head and facial injuries due to undesirable events. The patient should be moved or transferred in a very careful method, with a full cervical spine protection protocol. Patient with physical injury with unconsciousness should be managed accordingly to the protocol of Advanced Trauma Life Suppo...
