In this age and time, a doctor's visibility online is essential. Your name, location, and professional contact number should be accessible with search engine results. A website would be a bonus but not necessarily a necessity as Marinelle Castro has mentioned. I understand that running one is initially challenging; hence, professional guidance from a website management would help (ideally) in the first few mo...

I agree with Marinelle Castro that having an online website is not a must have to for each doctor. This can quite difficult because first having an online presence is already difficult to cope up especially when you're a famous one. If you are one of the best physician in town, there's no need for having online sites. However living in the new era, it will always be catchy if you're up to the trend an...

Online presence in terms of a website is new to me and it would be i guess to many other doctors too.But the fact you need to be active on these platforms to be successful is job easier said than done. Our long duty hours and then scheduled night shifts really makes things difficult. Here in my city the major bulk of my patient come from the less privileged class , therefore for the local patients it wouldn't be much help . In my personal opinion, having a website is NOT a must-have from every doctor. For one, it is not simple as it sounds to put up and manage a website. Its either you put up a good website or you don't. Not all doctors have the time to go online and manage their websites. Practically speaking, a doctor needs to hire someone to manage the website for him, and the social media accounts as well. Personally I do not have a website yet, but if ever I will put up one. I will just put information on ...

My clinic's website is fairly basic and exists merely as an online calling card. It used to have a blog section that I update often, until I got tired. I ought to keep it active. My clinic's Facebook page is the one that's active. I post photos, articles and videos on the page and I keep it relevant because most activity is there anyway. I just maintain the website and my directory listings for information purposes, but my Facebook is quite active. I believe in the importance of soci...

It is important to have an online presence, especially for doctors in private practice, but it is even more important for the online presence to be presented properly. An outdated or unappealing website that looks like it came from the Geocities era can easily turn off a potential patient. A lot of times, a simple website with just the name of the doctor and the clinic address is also not enough. When it comes to marketing private specialists, patients need to know exactly what the doctor specia...
