It is interesting that researchers have found and identified the region of the brain that acts as a physical source of depression. Scientists have found that feeling of loss and low self-esteem is related to orbitofrontal cortex functionality. Basically, this region of the brain is associated with sensory integration, expectations, and decision making. I think it is an acknowledged approach to locating the basic roots of depression and it will help in finding better therapeutic treatment options...
