This is a new way of finding a gym buddy that can really help in maintaining a regular habit. I agree that some competition will be beneficial when it comes to physical activity. Most need more motivation in order to push through "plateau" points where improvement seems to be stagnant. Seeing other still push through that stagnant wall to reach new levels of fitness will encourage more individuals to do the same.
