Trauma affects girls and boys brains differently
New research shows that trauma affects the brains of girls and boys in opposite ways. Scientists hope the findings will lead to better treatments for PTSD.

Earlier research has shown that girls who experience trauma are more likely to go on to develop PTSD than boys. When compared with boys from the control group, the anterior circular sulcus was larger in volume and surface area in the traumatized boys...
