The research has been conducted by a research team Pennsylvania State University and Kailuan Hospital in China. They recently presented their findings at the American Heart Association's Scientific Sessions 2016 in New Orleans, LA. They say that having two alcoholic beverages per day improves the risk of having cardio vascular accidents by reducing the circulating low density lipoproteins in the blood. Along with that physical exercise, quitting smoking and dietary modifications have the positive effects on increasing high density lipoproteins.

So further elaborations are needed to modify some of the conclusions.
