The latest study has shown that increased circulating Vitamin D levels are directly associated with lower risk of head and neck cancer (NHC) along with improved survival when even NHC is diagnosed. There was an inverse association between vitamin D and HNC, such that individuals with lower 25(OH)D3 concentrations (25 nmol/L) had increased HNC risk compared with individuals having concentrations of 50 nmol/L.
