PPIs to increase strokes!

Proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole, esomeprazole and pantaprazole are very common in use. Most of the time even without a prescription from a doctor, people take these medications whenever the feel a heartburn. That is that popular among the public. With the drugs which have gastric irritation as a side effect, proton pump inhibitors are used. A new study reveals that the use of proton pump inhibitiors increase the risk of having ischaemic strokes. This is a massive research conducted by Lead study author Dr. Thomas Sehested, of the Danish Heart Foundation in Copenhagen, Denmark used 245000 people to gather information and He says that There is a one fifth increase of the risk and those who are already with the risk must be cautious.
