I would like to share with you this rather interesting article. Personally, I sleep on my back but wake up sleeping on my belly...this probably explains why I get frequent backaches in the morning. When my wife was pregnant, I remember that her doctor would remind her to sleep on her left side because this position will aid increase blood flow towards the placenta, thus increasing nutrients delivered to the baby.
