WHO takes Zika off global emergency list, but stresses long term problem

The World Health Organisation says the virus outbreak no longer poses a world public health crisis. However some experts worry that this could stagnate research into the virus, which continues to cause infections in the US and elsewhere.

This could be a good news for the record but also as being mentioned, it could be that the research and prevention will also be affected and lessened from the top priority. We all know that this has become an alarming last February and there's a lot number being declared coming from out city. If I am not mistaken there were around 12 in our city out of the population in the Philippined being affected by Zika virus. Still we need to be careful and be watchful of our environment to avoid this ...

This is great news to know that Zika virus outbreak is not a global emergency anymore ending a global wave of panic over the virus spread in Brazil and South East Asia this year. Zika now will be categorized with dengue that both still require further research and development of an effective vaccine.
