I am agreeing that men are more likely to suffer from mental disorders than women, but why?. Poor health habits is one of reason for mental illness as said by Tahira Nawaz . Thank you for sharing this well-written article with solid, hard truths about the nature of men. Men tend to keep their feelings to themselves. This is probably because we were taught by our fathers and grandfathers to do the exact same thing. Boys do not whine, men do not cry, etc. We have to get this bothering emotions off our chest because it is potentially harmful to our health. Unlike women, we tend to be dramatic, vocal and even cry at the height of our anxiety. Once we pour out our tears and have somebody to listen to our sent...

Unlike the predominant belief that women are more emotional than men, men are just more likely to hold back their emotions rather than expressing them as women do. Perhaps this fact is what explains the gender differences in mental health complications. While males are 4 times more likely than females to die by suicide, females attempt suicide 3 times as often as males. The ratio of suicide attempts to suicide death in youth is estimated to be about 25:1, compared to about 4:1 in the elderly. Th...
