Increasing the patient visit and keeping them as loyal patients doesn't have business implication always. If we are doing some genuine services in corporate hospitals, awareness need to be increased otherwise the patients may become the victim of unprofessional unethical Medical Practioners.
I have seen people dying in our hospital as they are referred from small clinics and hospitals in the last moment when all the treatment methods failed within their limits and patient developed MODs...

Availability is also an important factor, but in major cities doctors visiting 2 clinics in a day so, unavailability definitely existing in some cities of India. The SOP of the clinic is very important. Marketing would be including advertisements, that brings us to the issue of whether medical professionals should advertise for their clinic online or on tv advertisements to attract patients or in their words - customers. I guess in the past we generally have the idea that doctors should not advertise on tv for their services etc. But in actual fact, now by using social media it is a very good way of making your medical practice known to the region or eve...

This is a very interesting topic, but somehow it treats the doctor patient relationship like a business for which I do not like. There is a major issue with overbooking patients for appointment. In Singapore, the government restructured hospitals generally tend to overbook patients and this results in waiting time for specialist clinic to be up to 2 hours. For clinics that also accepts walk-ins, then this would be another challenge because if the service or the speed of the doctor seeing patient...

This is a great article of improving patient flow to your clinic. No one will like to wait for very long during their appointment to see a doctor. Hence, we should be precise when scheduling the appointments for patients coming to clinic. Don’t overbook the clinic appointments, if we are not able to see all of them in a timely fashion. Prolonged waiting time in the waiting area after their given appointment time, will usually upset the patients, and may cause them to change to other clinic pract...

I agree with the last point, the most. That's why when patients call and ask if they can walk in or if appointments are necessary, I say we prefer you make an appointment because it would mean that a specific time will be set for you. I time my appointments so that patients hardly or don't wait in the reception room for their turn, unless I encounter an emergency case and cannot help but extend working time with a patient. I do not like making patients wait, especially to make them wait ...

Priscilla Mae Gobuyan Unfortunately, what you pointed out is so true of medical practice in the Philippines. If you are not from a well-known family of doctors, it is more difficult to establish your practice because "you don't have a name". Its also sad that a lot of patients in our country usually go for who's popular, than who has a list of credentials. Its also common for people to ask their...
