As a physician, I think that this Surgeon Scorecard is absurd. It is basically a glossary of all the surgeons in the US with their corresponding over-all performance and death rates listed under their names. I understand that this will make it easier for patients to choose who to treat them but they should also know that medical mishaps happen everyday and most of them are inevitable. Not all surgeries are successful but it is unfair for these people to put doctors in a scorecard. We didn't ...
