Importance of understanding Nutrition for a Doctor.

Its a reality that majority of physicians and clinicians don't have thorough understanding of proper nutrition for patients and they seldom give nutritional advice to the them. Nutrition as a therapy is still practices in many Eastern Communities. Medical schools in USA are bound to give 25 hours of nutrition education but nobody takes it seriously even students. All of us must have thorough understanding of nutrition as a life style modification tool, so that if some patient asks you what should he eat you don't act dumb.
