Now this made me realize that almost nothing is safe in todays practice. Often times we seek consultation for the symptom we might me experiencing such as GERD and gastric upset conditions. And most likely our consultant will prescribe PPIs as the major treatment for weeks and even months. To my surprise upon reading this article, they can even increase our risk of having gastric polyps and cancer.
