One would often associate playing musical instrumens with improving cognitive abilities, the fine motor skilled required and memory to memorise pieces and fingerings. This is an interesting study which shows that running in fact improves mental agility, in planning out routes and navigating around. What better way to shed some pounds and improve one's cognitive abilities?
