The Mexico City Principles were formulated by the APEC ministers (to w/c Philippines is signatory) that pharmaceutical companies should ethically follow to avoid "conflicts of interests" like attending free Medical Conventions as a "Vacation Incentive" for attending doctors (& NOT as learning experiences).

The local FDA then required the Pharmaceutical Association of the Philippines to adopt it. So any sponsorship by pharmaceuticals for Medical Conventions should...
