Overseas Community Involvement Programmes in Medical School Part 1

Recently, I heard from some medical students about their experience volunteering overseas. Some went on church mission trips, others went on Overseas Community Involvement Programme trips with their batchmates and seniors. I asked them about their feelings before embarking on the trip, and I got almost the same answer from everyone. Most were unsure, excited and motivated. Unsure because they did not know how much they could truly contribute. Excited because they were going to be exploring new territories and motivated because they went with the heart of helping the individuals there.
