Another student from the same team suggested sourcing for Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to sponsor water filtration systems for the villagers there. Clean water was a key goal that these students wanted to achieve because of the numerous possible water borne diseases like cholera (which could be a cause of death in less deveoped areas). On the bright side, after 5 days of gruelling screening programmes, the students managed to filter out individuals who had diabetes mellitus and obtained subsidised medication for them as well. One of them was a lady with a CBG of 33, whom expressed her gratitude to them.
