'The Daily Mile' program promotes fitness in schoolsCreated by:
Running 15 minutes a day in St. Ninians Primary School was an activity spearheaded by its headteacher, Elaine Wyllie. She came up with this idea after seeing how unfit some of the students were at her school. Children are getting more and more unfit these days due to more sedentary lifestyles and less outdoor play, this has been getting so prevalent that it has been a topic in many major forums and newspapers. Sometimes, sports need not be so complicated for children, there is no need for balls or new fangled technology, just a pair of decent sport shoes and a road is sufficient.
