According to a report by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Singapore is ranked 2nd globally for healthcare outcomes. However, medical doctors, who contribute greatly to the healthcare system, face exceptionally high risks in their career, and being a doctor is often associated with poor work-life balance, high stress levels and lack of family time. Nonetheless, it is important to remember that this is a noble profession, and there are several very important reasons that make it all worthwhile despite all this.
