The answer is, Yes. There is such a thing called, "Broken-Heart Syndrome" otherwise known as Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy, which can lead a healthy person to a critical state after being faced with a stress-inducing situation such as a loss of a loved one, a rejection or a divorce. This could often be misdiagnosed as a Myocardial Infarction or a "heart-attack" due to similar symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath and even ancillaries like cardiac enzymes are elevated in this particular case. What distingusihes it from a real heart attack is the absence of atherosclerosis in patients. Prognosis for this condition is good but there have been reported cases of death.
