This is an interesting finding. Patients have to remember that sunlight exposure is necessary to have adequate amounts of vitamin D. As healthcare providers, we have the obligation to educate this to our patients since they are not aware about this. With regards primary prevention, more studies should be done in order to justify that taking vitamin D as a supplement will be beneficial in preventing respiratory illnesses.
