New treatment for knee arthritis

It was a well-known fact that no definite management of osteoarthritis is available, but medical science has found a new treatment to this problem. According to a research report of a small study, a single administration of the person’s own stem cells can reduce pain and inflammation of the knee joint. The stem cells from the patient’s own body fat are extracted and directly injected into the affected knee joint. The research report stated by Dr. Anthony Atala, director of Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine depicted reduction of pain and improvement in mobility among all the patients undergoing the therapy.
