Can Personality Be Changed?

Personality, according to the American Psychological Association, is defined as an individual differences in characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. The study of personality focuses on two broad areas: One is understanding individual differences in particular personality characteristics, such as sociability or irritability. The other is understanding how the various parts of a person come together as a whole.

And so, a lot of theories has been postulated to help explain why we are what we are. And this boils down to the debate about nature vs. nurture. Once nature, or nurture, or both has done its job, and it makes you the type of person you are today, do you think you, the way you think, the way you do things, the way you are, can be changed?
