A recent survey of 358 individuals recorded waiting times endured by the general Malaysian public in government hospitals and clinics. The survey, carried out by Malay Mail Online, also touched on other reasons why some people have stopped medical treatment at public healthcare institutions.

It seems that the long waiting queue will always be a problem when it comes to seeing patients. It will always be an issue here in the Philippines as it is in Malaysia because government hospitals are understaffed. We try to maximize operating time but there are just too many patients who flock and expect to be treated promptly. Having long waiting hours to seek consultation may it be in clinics or government institution is really draining one's patience.
