Madhubabu kaaja Thank you for sharing information about the stent of choice in your country and more study results about the benefits of biodegradable. In the Philippines, the same clinical scenario occurs too as most still prefer to use conventional stents. Are biodegradable stents now available in your country? I wish that more would be aware of the benefits of using biodegradable compared to traditional stents...

In relation to the previous article about stents that I shared, biodegradable stents post a better outcome compared to traditional stents in terms of preventing major adverse cardiac events. These stents dissolve in less than a year after the procedure and can promote vascular remodeling. Remodeling cannot take place after insertion of traditional stents because the metal limits this process.
