For the first time, scientists have attempted gene-editing inside an adult human body – a technology that is believed to propel gene therapy in many ways. Envisioned as a possible template treatment for future genetic diseases, it is with great hope that the technology would allow scientists to understand the interactions between genes, amongst others. Question is: will it be successful?

Madhubabu kaaja Thank you for showing interest in this topic of gene editing. Do you think that it is ethical to tamper with genes of human beings? In my perspective, it is ethical to edit faulty genes as it does not violate the principle of totality. The only time that it becomes unethical is when we use it for aesthetic purposes or selecting preferred attributes of offspring such as improved athleticism, taller ...
