Scientists recently announced that the upper age limit of the adolescent should be adjusted to 24, in order to better reflect the current challenges they face. We can't stop to ask, however, is it really harder now to grow up?

For the question of whether we are empowering or infantilizing the young adults, I think that following this model will produce more immature adults. With the current model, we already see a high group of individuals with "failure to launch" or extreme dependence to older relatives. Giving the excuse to the younger generation of being an adolescent at the age of 24 will more likely make them feel more entitled; thus, the process of being able to take command in one's life is furthe...
